Hosted authentication is available today without usage-based quota enforcement. The tiers below document a proposed billing policy, not active billing.
Sigma's proposal keeps authentication outside the usage meter. That differs from providers that price partly by retained or active users, but the billing units and included features are not directly equivalent.
Checked against official pricing on 1 September 2026: Clerk uses monthly retained users with plan-specific allowances and rates; Privy lists MAU tiers plus signature and usage thresholds; SuperTokens lists per-MAU managed pricing and separate add-ons. Recheck each source before making a budget decision.

Identity certificates
Sigma publishes a live certificate-type catalog and BRC-68 trust manifest. The BRC-52 acquisition and custody contract is implemented through the standard BRC-100 wallet lifecycle over BRC-103/104, but production issuance and revocation are disabled until the readiness gate passes.

Standard wallet lifecycle
The implemented contract acquires, lists, proves, and relinquishes BRC-52 certificates through standard BRC-100 wallet methods. BRC-103 authentication is carried over BRC-104 transport. Read the implementation notes.
Pricing questions
- Is the proposed attestation allowance active?
- No. The 10,000 and 100,000 monthly figures describe a proposed billing policy. Sigma does not currently enforce those hosted quotas, queue writes at those thresholds, or bill overages.
- What would count against the proposed allowance?
- The proposal uses an attestation as its billing unit. The exact metering contract still needs to be implemented and published before any quota becomes active. It should not be inferred from transaction count or certificate issuance today.
- Is certificate issuance available in production?
- No. The certificate-type catalog and trust manifest are public, and the standard wallet lifecycle is implemented, but production issuance and revocation remain disabled. Check the public readiness endpoint for the current state.
- Can the proposed prices change?
- Yes. They are a proposal, not an active rate card or contract. Any launched plan must publish its final price, included usage, enforcement behavior, and effective date before billing begins.
- What does the proposed Enterprise engagement include?
- The current proposal starts at $1,500 per month for a six-month design partnership with a named contact, deployment review, and roadmap input. Scope, service levels, and price are set only by a signed agreement with Open Protocol Labs, Inc.
